The stakes seem a Authoritarian high school student council president Misaki Ayuzawa may lord it over the students at her male-dominated high school but she has a secret after-school job: Then again it probably looks good on college applications. The little comments scribbled outside of the word balloons got annoying fast and felt too busy and unnecessarily hyper.

The art is typical manga - nowt special. Apr 11, Desiree rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: It is so darn funny, I couldn't stop laughing that was when I watched the anime.

She started hating guys when her dad left her family and left a huge debt, then she decided find a job and ended up working in Maid Latte as a maid.

Takumi Usui takes an interest on her, becomes her stalker, after he founds out that she's a maid. Usui then develops feelings for Misaki. So does Misaki herself, but won't admit it.

I absolutely love this manga! Usui and Misaki. They make such a perfect couple. They're absolutely hilarious! I love Usui! Perverted Alien! I love the romance and the story thats in this manga. It is just absolutely incredible. I love how they were drawn. And I love Misaki's maid dress, it very much suits her.

This girl is kinda crazy, hard worker, dedicated and maybe too self-demanding. Her father abandoned the family cowardly so she has to work in a Maid Cafe to pay the bills.

Usui is hot. He's mysterious, he's good at everything. He likes to keep to himself until he discovers Misa's secret. After that, he becomes this perverted 3. After that, he becomes this perverted alien, roof jumper, american captain and sweet guy who's willing to do anything to keep Mila's secret safe. View all 4 comments. Jun 12, Shealea rated it it was amazing Shelves: I'm not going to lie.

I read this after watching the entire season of its anime counterpart. Actually, I'm finding it difficult to determine which I like more. After all, both gave me goosebumps. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that this manga has everything. Everything in-freaking-credible, that is. The story line kept me giggling. It has unadulterated entertainment quality, an attractive male specimen who can jump off buildings and survive read: Usui Takumi , you heathens!

One other thing that I adored about the whole Maid Cafe set-up was that it wasn't overwhelmingly girly or insulting to the feminists of this world. Finally, I'd like to acknowledge my first anime crush: Usui Takumi , you sir, are the reason for my imploded ovaries. On a serious note, how is this not attractive?

She works thoroghly to get to the top and to be in the top, everything's going smooth until the day somebody finds out that her dark secret is, she's also a maid!! Misaki is determined, enthusiastic, winner and a workholic, she never settles for less, and her purpose is to support her poor family.

She studies in a school that is dominated mainly by the male students, just because it's a cheap school. She works and becomes president of the student council.

She is a terror to male in her school. In evening she'll work in maid latte as a maid and never complains for her misfortunes. Usui Takumi is the male protogonist who finds out her secret and falls in love with her because of all these qualities, always protecting her making her angry every time, visiting her caffe , supporting her in every decision she makes and tolerating, listening the curses like pervert alien etc she throws on him.

So now, I am reading a bunch of different books at once so that I can catch up with everything. I am trying to catch up with Shadowhunter Academy, because Lady Midnight is going to come out, tomorrow.

And I am reading manga because I finished the anime and wanted to try reading manga. And I also have to finish reading my White Pine book. We are reading the Lord of the Flies in the class as well. Kaichou wa Maid-Sama! Manga

I want to say a huge thank you to my friend who recommended this manga reading app. That is where I do all of my manga reading and it is so convenient! Anyway, this manga is so funny and I laughed so much. I watched the anime so most of the things that happened in volume one were already in the anime episodes. But the jokes never got old so I was so happy that I read this! The characters are all amazing, I love all of them. Misaki is one of those girls who are super brave and knows how to stand up for themselves.

Usui is the overprotective, swoon-worthy guy and is the perfect person for Misaki. Usui is not only the smartest guy in the school, but also the most popular guy when it comes to girls. He is always worried about Misaki and it is the first time that someone took interest in her.

Misaki and Usui's bond is so different, it's one of the highlights in this book. The way they understand each other and trust each other. Even if Misaki isn't ready to admit it, it's nice to see how they communicate, I love it so much! I highly recommend this to those who haven't tried reading manga yet, it is really fun to read.

All the pictures are amazing and it may be confusing at first, but if you have a manga expert like my close friend, it's all good: If you are a manga reader and haven't read this book yet, I highly recommend it. It is funny, heart-warming and beautiful! Please read this!!!!! View all 12 comments.

Apr 24, Faye, la Patata rated it liked it Shelves: I'm just glad the two don't become a couple in the first 4 chapters. That's such a breath of fresh air. But seriously though, I hope male love interests stop pulling the girl closer to them while muttering cheesy lines. That's so View all 25 comments.

Okay, I wanted to read some light hearted manga as I have really busy and stressful times nowadays. So I went for Maid sama! It was a recommendation from fellow otaku friend. So, let's get started to the very first impressions: I liked characters a lot.

Especially two main leads, Misaki and Usui. Misaki is hard working, clever, strong and independent girl and school council president in mostly boys' school. She has one flaw though: Usui is careless, intelligent, calm and laid ba Okay, I wanted to read some light hearted manga as I have really busy and stressful times nowadays. Usui is careless, intelligent, calm and laid back popular boy at school.

He is also considerate that he didn't give out information about Misaki's working in a cafe. Oct 27, Moki rated it it was amazing. Two things why this manga is brilliant: Misaki and Usui. I usually hate the female main character because she usually is really annoying and cries about everything and then, for some unknown reason, she does something amazing without even realising it.

Yeah, female main characters in shojo annoy me as hell. But not Misaki. She is not fragile or easily scared, she is tougher, stronger, smater and funnier than all the other female main characters in shojo.

She is amazing! She is the president of the Two things why this manga is brilliant: She is the president of the school council while is number one in studies, while she is amazing at sports and while she is a maid in a cafe. She is a freaking genious! The perfect example of what a girl should do to suceed. Basically, she is awesome! Usui is the typical perfect guy: But he doesn't take interest in most of the girls, probably because he thinks they are all the same and extremely boring.

But when he finds out the president works as a maid, he thinks that is worth of his attention. And he sees that Misaki has an amazing personality and she is different from all the other girls. Not to mention she "hates" him and never lets him be near her. So he becomes a seriously funny stalker, always going to the cafe and always instigating her. But whenever she is in trouble he always appears and saves her. Jan 13, Kristine Lopez rated it it was amazing. View all 3 comments.

Since I finished the anime already, I know what happens for most of the parts in this manga. Even though I already know what is going to happen, I still love it because it's kinda like re-watching the anime. And for the past few days, I always wanted to re-watch this anime but it takes up too much time and I am currently watching Naruto Shippuden.

It's f "The president did say please. It's fine, I'll come to save you as much as you want. I'll make you fall for me as much as you wish. Leave this to your master. If you haven't heard about this manga, it is about a girl named Misaki Ayuzawa who is the school president. After her father left the family, he left a huge debt.

Misaki's mom is trying to pay off the debt because he is gone and Misaki doesn't like seeing her mom work too much. So she decides to work as a maid in a restaurant. She wanted this to be kept a secret but a boy at her school named Takumi Usui found out. Usui and Ayzuzawa go through so many things in the first volume and this takes place after that.

Usui, you perverted, outer spaceman human being! This was so funny, it continued to amaze me and make me laugh so much. I loved the way Ayuzawa would yell at Usui and the way he would respond. The way these two go together is so perfect.

Both of them are strong and have each other's backs. Usui will always be there to help the president when she falls, literally. Usui and Ayuzawa's bond is awesome and it is unbreakable. They are the people that you want on your side and the people you want to be friends with.

Sometimes, I wish I can grab both of them out of this book and ask them to be friends. I mean, who wouldn't wanna be friends with a girl who loves pink, wears breads and glasses.

Just kidding I always wonder what goes on in Usui's head because he is so crazy. It's hilarious, but all I am thinking about is what would make him do these weird things. The pace of this book was awesome, I couldn't stop reading, I had a hard time putting it down. The plot was solid and made sense, but sometimes, I felt that the book was hard to relate to. But I still liked the concept and idea of this book.

I highly recommend this book if you watched the anime and want more. I also recommend this series to those who haven't started it yet. And for those who haven't read any manga yet, this is perfect for you! If anyone wants to know the app I use to read manga, it is called Manga Bird, and it has a cute blue bird. View all 5 comments. Today I am in shoujo mood, so yeah, Maid sama! She is both funny and clever.

Even though there are many exaggerations and cliches , the story is interesting to read and hilarious too. The main issue is with Usui, which I haven't decided if I love or hate. That guy is crazy! Though he has a good personality overall, he is a stalker and annoying.

My major turn off Still, it is quite good manga and I'll continue on other volumes too. May 29, Miss Susan rated it liked it. Augh it's that line!

Dear shoujo writers, whenever the hero reminds the heroine that she's 'still a girl' before running off to save the day I do not swoon at the romance of it all. I want to kick him for being a patronizing sexist ass.

Chapter 48

Books like these make me appreciate Revolutionary Girl Utena all the more. Oh sweet Ute Augh it's that line!

Oh sweet Utena where a girl could be a prince without her 'love interest' reminding her of her place. Where flirting with ladies translated to actually dating one. I never knew how good we had it till you were gone.
